These Massive Geoengineering Projects Won’t Stop Global Warming
Global warming was never expected to be smooth. There were bound to be global and regional variations in the rate of warming. For 20 years the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has stuck to its estimate that, on average, the rate of global warming should be 0.2 degree Celsius (°C) per decade. In the 1980s and the first half of the 1990s, 0.2°C per decade was the observed trend, but in the late 1990s and all subsequent years the trend has been zero.
