With the Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System (Pan-STARRS1) in Hawaii, Robert Weryk, an astronomer at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, discovered an interesting object on October 19, 2017.
It was a strange object from the day it was found, with a peculiar orbit, eccentric speed, and quirky features. The unusual thing, eventually dubbed Ouamuamua, was the solar system’s first known interstellar visitor. However, scientists could only witness the strange visitor for 11 days before it became too small and dark to detect. Even now, the true nature of Ouamuamua remains a secret, given the minimal evidence acquired from such a brief observation window. In this video, we will be discussing about oumuamua, the first interstellar visitor.
