Authorities and residents in a Japanese coastal town were left baffled after an unidentifiable large iron ball washed up on a local beach.
The ‘iron ball’ measuring about 1.5 metres in diameter is being examined. Officials initially thought it to be a stray mine but the speculation was dismissed after experts used X-ray technology to examine the object and found it to be hollow.
Explosive experts dressed in protective gear continue to investigate further as mystery deepens.
