For the first time Last 24 Hours of Albert Einstein

On 17th April 1955, Einstein experienced a burst in Abdominal Artery. He was quickly admitted to Princeton Hospital. After examining, doctors came to a conclusion that only a surgery can extend his life and he would be able to live several more years. He experienced something similar back in 1948 and got surgically fixed by the doctors.

But this time, Einstein refused to get a surgery. He knew his end is near and was ready for it. He said, ‘I want to go when I want’, ‘It is tasteless to prolong life artificially. I have done my share, it is time to go. I will do it elegantly.’ Next morning, he died in the Princeton Hospital.
