Astronaut’s Helmet Filled With Drinking Water During Spacewalk!

Astronauts Helmet Filled With Drinking Water During Spacewalk

In July 2013, astronaut Luca Parmitano went on a routine spacewalk. He went outside and started doing his designated task. Suddenly, his helmet started filling with water. At first, Luca thought the liquid was his own sweat but soon after, the liquid started building up.

NASA mission control decided to terminate the spacewalk. As he was going back to the airlock, things got worse. Water started entering his eyes, nose, and ears making it hard to see, hear, and breathe inside the helmet. Somehow, Luca managed to make it back to the airlock and the crew helped him get out of the helmet.
