The James Webb Space Telescope has been sent 1.5 million km away from us to orbit the L2 Lagrange point. The JWST is the most complex space telescope built to date and it’s the farthest space telescope out there. But it’s not far enough to make deep space observations that can be achieved via a telescope 10-100 times the distance between the Sun and the Earth. And this is where, the idea of sending a telescope beyond Saturn’s orbit comes to the rescue.
